Maui photo essay

It has been quite busy these past few months with the wedding back in January, but I wanted to share some photos from our small getaway to Maui afterwards. Though the trip was a bit stormier than anticipated, and I got plenty of motion sickness due to the famous 'Road to Hana,' it sure was beautiful and well worth the views. I'm glad I was able to take a few snapshots to remember the simplicity and beauty of this island, with its natural black, volcanic rock and sand, yet such clear, light blue waters. Such trips to nature and the ocean are always a reminder of what a gift it is to live on this planet. The lush green plants of Maui, combined with the beautiful waves and black sand of Waiʻanapanapa State Park. It was so lovely dipping my toes into the black sand of the beach. And though the entire trip was cloudy, the cloudy sunrise at Haleakalā National Park was still worth the visit. I've always dreamed of seeing a sunrise above the clouds, and this was pretty close.
