So the news is out that I've become an author! Never would I have thought that I would be able to write a book, but I'm absolutely grateful for the opportunity and wanted to share some information on what it'll be about, pre-ordering, and additional details. Hope you are all as excited as I am for this long-awaited project of mine -- it's taken up all my time and energy for the past months, and has piled on top of my full time job and settling into a new marriage. Peter's as ready as I am for this book to come out!
Written by yours truly, and aimed at anyone starting their sustainability journey or looking to have a primer on how to think and act more sustainably in the midst of our environmentally-stressed world. Or if you enjoy sustainable lifestyle books, appreciate my blog, or my photography, this may be a perfect fit.
The book is called Sustainable Home: Practical projects, tips and advice for maintaining a more eco-friendly household and is organized room by room in the household -- living, kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom -- and concludes with the outdoors. I've curated information on sustainability issues, took plenty of pictures with the hope that you'll be inspired by the beauty of living simply and sustainably, and have included some simple DIYs for those of you looking to get hands-on. A sneak peak of the full cover is below:
There will be books be released in English in UK, US, Canada, and Australia. Pre-order links are below.
The book may be translated into other languages, so I will be updating you when that happens!
The book will be released October 11, 2018.
The reason why I decided to write about making the home more sustainable is because of the deep connection we have with our homes -- it's a great way to get started on a personal level before trying to make change outside. A book also communicates information a bit differently compared to online content and social media, so I've been able to put much more information in an organized fashion. It's my hope that with this book, you can sit down, grab a tea, and enjoy a casual afternoon read. And for fun, here’s a sneak peak of what you may expect:
