My testimony

"Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." - John 8:32 Seeking truth and meaning in the midst of this complex world and life is no easy task. However, it's been on my heart to share my testimony of coming to faith with you, as I never want to live with the regret of not sharing the love of Christ with you all. So if you have an ear to hear, I’ve recorded my testimony for you all in the video above — it’s 18 minutes, but I hope you find it helpful.

The quick version

I stumbled upon some childhood journals when I was at home this weekend and wanted to share some of the most pivotal moments in my life that have shaped my belief in Christ.

From second grade all the way to my college years, God slowly raised me, challenged me, and walked with me in my short 25 years of life to find out more about who He is as a good good father.

In college, my life took a turn when I was challenged by Matthew 22:38-40:

Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

I questioned the validity of my faith, and ability to truly love God with all my heart, soul, and mind, and from there, went on a journey to discover my own faith, instead of a faith that was fed to me in my Christian household.

For the full version, again, feel free to watch the video. I hope you are blessed! I know that life without Christ would be radically different, and am extremely humbled and grateful that I've been able to experience Him through these past few years. I pray that you would all experience the love of God at some point in time, whether you're a believer or someone who is seeking truth in this life. There is so much hope and love for you at this very moment if you open your heart to Jesus Christ as your Savior. If you're interested in more posts about my faith, feel free to let me know as well -- my faith and passion for simple and sustainable living are quite connected.
