Tiny farmhouse tour
This past weekend, Peter and I took some time off and booked a lovely stay at this tiny farmhouse, a few hours away from the city. Check the video above for a video tour of this space, as well as some pictures below of the little details. If there's anything that we learned from this experience, it's that living in a smaller space often encourages and challenges you to make every aspect of your home functional and purposeful. But most of all, living in a tiny home doesn't have to be boring. Though the inside was neat to stay in, the house connected us to the surrounding environment in a way that made us feel relaxed and at peace. We hope to visit again when we have another weekend off, and if you're ever in California or want a place to reset, do check out this tiny home for yourself!
As mentioned in the video, if you’re interested in one-pot rice cooker recipes that we made on our tiny home trip, visit my Patreon community here for that exclusive content and more.
A functional kitchenette that has a large window facing the outdoors, making cleaning and washing dishes all the more peaceful.
Wall mounted tables provide plenty of surface area but also allow for more leg room and space underneath for storage.
A spacious shower featuring beautiful tile-work, and functional storage space on the statement round mirror.
The living area transforms into the bedroom overnight with a pull-down murphy bed.
Farm life and the best company is right outside the door - these Shetland cows are so gentle and fun, and they might come right by to say hello.
