A trip to the california coast

We consider ourselves incredibly lucky to have landed on this part of the planet as California is known especially for its scenic coastal highway, and it’s only a drive away for us if we ever want to see it. Shelter in place regulations are slowly lifting here, and Peter was looking for a way to celebrate our birthday month, so we settled on a quick weekend trip to Carmel and Big Sur. It’s a beautiful area to visit if you’re able to get around to this area of California.

I’m so grateful for these few days to reset and enjoy nature, as I always feel refreshed and inspired when I go out to see the Pacific ocean on a cloudy day, with its beautiful grey blue waters. It’s one of my favorite places to shoot nature photos, as there’s something special about the ocean when you have the sand between your toes, combined with the fresh saltwater and the feeling that you’re oh so small.
